Procrastination

as I am sitting here with all this free time on my hands I am thinking so much about what project I want to tackle next that I am getting nothing done except adding to my long long list!!! How is it that I am adding to my list? Well today in the mail I received make It! Mid-Century Modern: from the Curbly Library in it are some fantastic DIY projects. I love the Eames-broidered cocktail napkins, the beam-me-up dottie: etched martini glasses, and the girard inspired ottoman. So naturally I started surfing the net to find legs for the bench that I am now going to make for the front hall or the end of my bed! I found some great ones at ferrous hardware. I love the fluted for here and for the cape a little more modern!

Well then of course I had to find wooden legs, but somehow I stumbled upon a fabulous blog Centsational Girl! I mean really, how have i not come across this before? It has some great DIY tutorials and some fun crafts. You should check it out! I was just yesterday putting a new project on my list, a laundry room drying rack that I saw in ballard designs and was sure that I could make! Surprise, surprise she has it up and was inspired by the same one! Well I won't buy the wood until the washer and dryer are finally in the basement and I have the space.

So alas, I must get busy and start my projects. Today I will find the last three pieces of artwork I need for the family room, I will finish painting the table in the bathroom, and I will put a second coat on the $2 chairs I bought at the church bazaar last summer and are finding a new home at our cape house!
Here's to being productive and finishing all projects before I buy the supplies for any more! That is another resolution, finish all projects before I buy the supplies for new projects (this ties in with cleaning out the house!)
