Saturday Upholstery Update

Chris and I started taking an upholstery class last night and it was a lot of work, a lot of fun and so nice to get some of the ugly furniture out of our house! We are taking it in Jamaica Plain at the Eliot School. I am so excited to be doing this, as you all know I love to be able to do things myself! Here are some photos of our first class:

this was in our bedroom (craigslist) and Chris is working on itI am working on the red velvet chairs from the living room, and they had millions of tacks in them! It took me three hours just to take the upholstery off! Now I understand why it cost so much to get stuff reupholstered. Also the foam in my chairs had completely disintegrated so it all started falling like sawdust!
