new kitchen chairs

So I have been needing (not wanting) new kitchen chairs for a couple of years now. The ones I currently have I got from my grandmothers house and they are wooden folding chairs. They were originally painted avocado with matching vinyl seats. I gave them a make over but now they have just seen better days and are starting to fall apart.

I found these chairs that have great potential on craigslist last weekend. My husband was nice enough to drive a hour each way to pick them up for me and we ended up paying $40 for the four chairs. The are in need of some work, but I foresee a beautiful future for them, one filled with black lacquer, new seats, 1" foam, and fun oil cloth (so easy to wipe down with 2 children)!

Stay tuned for their transformation!
